If you happened to catch La Costa on KUSI News earlier this week, you may have caught a glimpse of a very special Halloween recipe from BlueFire Grill chef, Greg Frey Jr… some deliciously creepy and jiggly worms. To make a bowl of your own just in time for Halloween Themed Costume Parties, here’s how you do it!
- 1 6oz Box of Raspberry Jello
- 2 pk Know Gelatin
- 1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 10 Drops Green Food Coloring
- 10 Drops Brown Food Coloring
- 1 Box Flexi Straws
- 1 Ziploc Bag
- Plastic Wrap
- 3 Cups Cold Water
Dissolve the gelatin and jello mix in cold water and bring to a boil on the stove while stirring very frequently. Let it cool off the stove to room temp and then add food coloring and cream.
Be sure to extend all the straws while waiting for the mixture to cool. Stir and pour into a Ziploc bag filled with the straws. Squeeze out as much air as possible. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and chill for 4 hours or overnight.
To squeeze out the worms run straws under warm water for a quick few seconds and then squeeze out.
